Shipping Policy
At Artists of Perú we take great care to ensure that every artwork is professionally packed and safely delivered. Because each piece is a unique, original work of art, shipping is handled with attention, transparency, and respect for both the artist and the collector.
1. Shipping Origin
All artworks are shipped from Perú.
2. What We Ship
We currently ship original, one-of-a-kind artworks only.
- We do not offer prints or reproductions at this stage
- Each artwork is individually prepared and packed to professional standards
- Availability may vary depending on the nature of the work and destination
3. Processing Time
Orders are typically processed within 3–7 business days after purchase.
For high-value, large-scale, or fragile works, additional preparation time may be required. In such cases, we will contact you directly to confirm timelines.
4. Shipping Methods
We offer international shipping using the most appropriate method for each artwork, based on size, value, and destination.
Shipping methods may include:
- National postal services for smaller works
- International courier services for faster and insured delivery
- Specialist fine-art logistics partners for high-value or delicate artworks
Shipping method and cost are determined at checkout where possible, or confirmed by email where necessary.
5. Packaging & Handling
All artworks are professionally packed using archival and protective materials.
- Whenever possible, artworks are shipped unframed to reduce risk during transit
- For valuable or delicate works, additional protective measures — such as custom crating — may be used
6. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated based on:
- Artwork size and weight
- Destination country
- Chosen shipping method
For some artworks, particularly higher-value pieces, shipping may be quoted separately after purchase. We will always confirm shipping costs with you before dispatch.
7. Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times vary by destination:
- United Kingdom & Europe: approximately 1–3 weeks
- United States & Canada: approximately 1–3 weeks
- Other international destinations: delivery times vary
Please note that delivery times are estimates and may be affected by customs clearance, local postal services, or factors beyond our control.
8. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or handling fees imposed by their destination country. These charges are not included unless explicitly stated.
- Original artworks are generally duty-free when imported into the United States. However, state or local sales taxes may still apply depending upon the destination
- Original artworks are generally duty-free when imported into the United Kingdom. However, qualifying works may be subject to 5% import VAT on orders over £135
- Other countries apply their own customs regulations and thresholds
Customs regulations and tax policies may change. We recommend checking local import rules or consulting your customs authority before purchasing.
9. Insurance
Artworks are insured during transit unless otherwise stated.
For high-value artworks, additional insurance coverage may be arranged. Insurance details will be confirmed as part of the shipping arrangement.
10. Damage or Loss in Transit
In the rare event that an artwork arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
We ask that you:
- Retain all original packaging materials
- Provide clear photographs of the artwork and packaging
We will work with the courier and insurer to resolve the issue as quickly and fairly as possible.
11. Returns & Refunds
Because all artworks are original and unique, returns are not accepted unless the artwork arrives damaged or is materially not as described at the time of purchase.
Any approved refunds will be processed once the artwork has been returned and inspected.
12. Questions About Shipping
If you have any questions about shipping, customs, or delivery to your country, please contact us before purchasing. We are always happy to advise.
